Saline County Republicans have reset the ballot for November’s general election by selecting a former Salina mayor to run in Clarke Sanders place.

Luci Larson will face Democrat Miranda Bachman to represent the 69th District of the Kansas House. The GOP convention met on Thursday after incumbent Clarke Sanders withdrew from the race in early September, citing health issues that resulted in his hospitalization.

Larson is a retired business owner and former travel agent who served the community as a Saline County Commissioner and City Commissioner as well.

The 69th District includes Salina and the rural communities of Assaria, Bavaria, Bridgeport, Brookville, Falun, Gypsum, Mentor and Smolan.
