Distant runners from across America are heading to the Crossroads this weekend.
The Salina Crossroads Marathon returns for its fifth year on Saturday, November 7, 2026, in Salina. Organizers have already seen strong interest, with thousands of runners from 41 states and Canada registered for the race.
The event kicks off downtown, with the marathon, half marathon, 10K, and relay all starting at 8:00 a.m. The 5K gets underway at 8:10 a.m., and the Kids Half Mile begins at 11:15 a.m. This early start helps runners take advantage of cooler fall temperatures and keeps the day’s schedule moving smoothly.
A new Adaptive Athlete Division joins the lineup this year. This addition opens the event to more participants and gives athletes with disabilities a chance to compete.
The race course is flat, paved, and USATF-certified, which means your finish time can count toward qualifying for the Boston Marathon. If you’re chasing a personal record or a Boston qualifying mark, this course offers a strong opportunity. The downtown start and finish also mean easy access to local restaurants and shops for both runners and spectators.
Officials say last year, the marathon created an estimated $1.49 million in economic impact for Salina, benefitting the hospitality industry and beyond.
