IOLA, Kan. — Iola USD 257 has announced that its new multipurpose athletic building will officially open November 2, providing additional indoor training space for local student-athletes.
The facility features approximately 55-by-75 feet of usable indoor turf space and two drop-down batting cages. The building is designed to serve USD 257 athletes and will be available to athletic teams made up predominantly of Iola athletes.
Facility hours will be Monday through Friday from 4 to 9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. All use of the building must be scheduled in advance.
Teams and individuals using the facility will be expected to follow established rules and expectations, including properly caring for the building and leaving it in the same condition as they found it. At this time, the facility will not be available for rental by groups outside the Iola community.
Reservations can be made by contacting Scott Brady at [email protected] or Tristan Carson at [email protected].
The new facility will provide another opportunity for Iola-area student-athletes to practice and develop their skills in an indoor setting.
