Neosho Volleyball Falls to No. 2 Cowley in Four Sets

Neosho Volleyball battled against No. 2 Cowley Community College but ultimately fell in four sets, 25-22, 18-25, 14-25, 13-25.
The Panthers came out strong in the opening set, earning a 25-22 victory and taking an early 1-0 lead against one of the top teams in the country. Neosho continued to compete hard throughout the match, but Cowley responded by taking the next three sets to secure the four-set victory.
Hedi Koppany led the Panthers offensively with 11 kills while also recording seven digs. Eliza Maraschin added 10 kills and three blocks as Neosho worked to keep pace with the Cowley attack.
Tori Thompson paced the Neosho offense with 14 assists, while Georgia Rogers contributed 13 assists and nine digs. The Panthers received contributions from throughout the lineup as they fought through the final three sets.
After taking the opening set, Neosho dropped the second set 25-18 before Cowley took control in the third and fourth sets, winning 25-14 and 25-13.
Despite the loss, the Panthers showed their ability to compete with one of the nation’s top-ranked teams, particularly with their strong performance in the opening set.
