Neosho Volleyball Finishes DMACC Weekend 2-2

Neosho Volleyball battled through a challenging weekend at DMACC, finishing the weekend with a 2-2 record against a strong field that included three nationally ranked opponents. The Panthers opened the weekend with a dominant 3-0 victory over Metropolitan before facing No. 4 Iowa Central. Neosho continued its strong play against ranked competition, defeating No. 13 Illinois Central 3-0 before closing the weekend with a 1-3 loss to No. 15 DMACC. Across the four matches, Neosho averaged 13.6 kills and 54.25 digs per match.

Panthers Open With Sweep

Neosho started the weekend with a convincing 3-0 sweep of Metropolitan. Abby Misa-Uli Hudson provided an efficient offensive performance, recording nine kills while hitting an impressive .692 for the match. Defensively, Mckenzye Williamson led the Panthers with an incredible 25 digs, helping Neosho control the match from start to finish.

Tough Battle Against No. 4 Iowa Central

The Panthers then took on No. 4 Iowa Central in a difficult matchup, ultimately falling 0-3. Despite the result, Neosho continued to compete offensively, with Eliza Maraschin leading the Panthers with 10 kills.

Strong Finish Against No. 15 DMACC

Neosho closed out the weekend against No. 15 DMACC, falling 1-3 in another competitive matchup. Elyse Haxton paced the Panthers offensively with 11 kills and a .291 hitting percentage. Georgia Rogers stepped up defensively, recording 18 digs in the match.

Statement Win Over No. 13 Illinois Central

Neosho bounced back in a big way with a 3-0 sweep of No. 13 Illinois Central. Hedi Koppany led the Panthers’ offensive attack with 16 kills and a .314 hitting percentage. Williamson once again anchored the defense, finishing with 19 digs. The sweep gave Neosho its second win of the weekend and demonstrated the Panthers’ ability to compete against nationally ranked competition.
