IOLA, Kan. — The Iola volleyball team rallied from an eight-point deficit in the deciding set Tuesday to earn its first Pioneer League victory of the season. During the home triangular, Iola split its two matches, falling to Wellsville 25-18, 25-19 before battling past Osawatomie in three sets 25-12, 19-25, 25-23.
Iola improved to 7-5 overall and 1-1 in Pioneer League play. The Mustangs compete Saturday at the Maize High School Volleyball Tournament before returning to league action Tuesday in a triangular at Burlington with Santa Fe Trail.
