KANSAS – Hesston College placed three women’s flag football players on the KCAC All-Conference teams in their first season as members. Akiva Brown (So., Plano, Texas), Liliana Espinoza (Jr., Galva, Kan.) and Emma Pfannenstiel (Fr., Newton, Kan.) have all earned honorable mention nods at their respective positions.
Brown was named to the all-conference team as a receiver after leading the Larks in almost every offensive category. The sophomore racked up 817 receiving yards on 75 catches, averaging just under 11 yards per catch and just over 74 yards per game.
Espinoza and Pfannenstiel earned their all-conference nods on the defensive side of the ball as a linebacker and a rusher respectively. Espinoza led the team in tackles with 34 while recording one sack, two interceptions and six pass breakups. Pfannenstiel led the team with 12.5 tackles for loss including 8.5 sacks while recording 27 total tackles, two interceptions and two pass breakups.
