Sports in Kansas on Tuesday posted its top 10 girls and top 10 boys high school cross country runners in the state in each of the six classes.
Goessel High School’s Eli Gaeddert is first in Kansas Class 1A boys with a 5K time of 16 minutes, 17.5 seconds. Stafford’s Joel Valadez is 10th in 17:38.26.
In Class 4A boys, Buhler’s Ryan Cherry is fourth with a time of 16:50.32. Andale’s Dustin Buchanan and Roman Lubbers are sixth and 10th with times of 16:56.4 and 17:14.2.
In Class 3A boys, Hoisington’s Brady Rossman is fifth with a time of 16:34.74. Hesston’s Tyler Fast is ninth in 18:49.46.
In Class 2A boys, Berean Academy’s Will Snook is fifth with a time of 17:07.08. Moundridge’s Dan Kuder is ninth in 17:38.39.
Buhler High School’s Corbin Starkweather and Isaballa Friesen are second and seventh in Kansas Class 4A girls with 5K times of 18:03.62 and 20:22.84.
Great Bend’s Decorah Schroeter is ranked third in Class 5A girls with a time of 18:17.66. Hays High’s Audrey Yarmer is seventh in 5A girls at 18:00.7.
In Class 3A girls, Hesston High School’s Reese Quinn and Avery Larson are fourth and fifth with times of 19:32.79 and 19:36.73. Ellsworth’s Molly Ehrlich is seventh at 18:52.61.
Hillsboro’s Riley Richert is sixth in Class 2A girls with a time of 18:54.2.
Pretty Prairie’s Lauren Detter is ninth in Class 1A girls with a time of 21:21.72.
