The number of Evergy Customers without power continues to drop.
Earlier this morning Evergy said 91 percent of the customers affected by power outages from Monday night’s windstorm have power back on.
In Saline County, 9,156 customers remained without power as of 10 AM according to Evergy’s outage tracker, with 1,169 customers still off in Ottawa County. 140 Evergy customers are still off in McPherson County, mainly around Canton and Marquette. with just a handful of customers without power in Dickinson, Ellsworth and Harvey counties.
All power is back on in Marion County, including those served by Flint Hills Rural Electric Cooperative.
Evergy reported this morning customers it will be later this week before all power can be restored in the Salina area.
DS&O Electric Cooperative restored power Tuesday night to nearly all of their McPherson County customers save a few in the Roxbury area. System wide DS&O has just over 1,800 customers off, most of them in the Salina area.
Due to the power outage, The Smoky Hill Museum in Salina remains closed, including offices for Salina Arts and Humanities. Persons still needing to pick up t-shirts or wristbands can do so starting at 4 PM Thursday at the Mulberry Gate Bridge.
The Salina Salvation Army in cooperation with Oak View Group will have free meal to go distributions today on the south circle drive at Tony’s Pizza Event Center, with lunch from 12:30 until 2 and dinner from 6 until 7:30.
