McPherson’s City Commission has given the green light to pay contractors up to $937,000 dollars for repairs from last September’s severe hailstorm.
The storm damaged roofs and buildings across several municipal facilities. The city says it’s already collected about $780,000 dollars in insurance payouts, with the rest expected once the repair work is finished.
City documents show the McPherson Recreation Commission is separately handling its own insurance claims for storm damage to its properties.
