Danielle Bartel has been named the new City Administrator for Hillsboro.
Bartel, currently Hillsboro’s City Clerk, will begin her new duties July 1st as the permanent successor to Matt Stiles, who left earlier this year to become Saline County Administrator.
In a statement Wednesday the city said Bartel was the unanimous choice of the Mayor and City Council, having emerged from a thorough interview process as the clear top choice for the position, citing her leadership, knowledge of city operations, and commitment to the Hillsboro community.
Interim City Administrator Michael Webb will continue to serve in that role during the transition period.
