Lyons firefighters responded Saturday to another railroad trestle fire west of 20th Road along U.S. 56. Firefighters used water and foam to put it out, but railroad ties could continue smoldering for several days.
The department has now responded to three additional smoldering-tie fires since Thursday, when embers from a burning semi-trailer sparked several fires along U.S. 56.
