CHENEY, Kan. – The McPherson girls golf team battled against a tough field on Monday, finishing in sixth place at the Andale Invitational.
In a long jam atop the team standings, Wellington was first at 334 with Augusta in second at 335 and Buhler third with a 338.
The top golfer for the Bullpups on the day was Lleyton Kuhn. Playing both tennis and golf, she was on the course Monday afternoon in Cheney and finished in sixth place with a score of 82, just six strokes behind Anika Paulsrud of Buhler on the top of the leaderboard.
Pera Bauer finished in the top half of the standings in 26th, shooting a 95 on the day. Ari Prose tied for 29th at 97. Other competitors were: Abby Schieferecke (107), Alexa Milleson (109) and Addy French (111).
