McPHERSON, Kan. – After a hard-fought win early in the week against Buhler, the McPherson boys soccer team welcomed a very good Newton team to town on Thursday. The Railers were the aggressors and picked up a 4-0 win at McPherson High School Stadium.
Newton made it a tough night for goalkeeper Hunter Schroeder as they had numerous shots on goal and put four through. Despite that fact, Schroeder still had ten saves for the game.
McPherson struggled to get their offense going as they were held scoreless and had just three shots on goal throughout the night.
The Bullpups are now 5-3 overall and will host Rose Hill on Thursday night.
Newton JV also beat McPherson by a score of 4-0.
