Ad Astra Radio is proud to announce Greta Showalter, upcoming senior at Lyons High School this year, as this week’s Athlete of the Week, presented by Hutchinson Community College.
The week – Showalter was named to the Elite 8 during the Kansas Shrine Bowl Cheer Camp in late June. Showalter was named Elite 8 for a third time, and she was named Outstanding
Cheerleader of the Year. Just 36 cheerleaders were named to the select team at the beginning of the camp, and eight were chosen as elite. Showalter was named Outstanding Cheerleader of the Year out of 207 cheerleaders.
The season – Showalter, who will be a senior at Lyons, is also involved in band, basketball, track, Future Farmers of America and student council. Showalter also is a competitive dancer
outside school.
