Rock The Plains 2026 officially announced Wednesday evening that the country music festival originally planned for August 7-8 in Alma, Kansas, has been postponed.
According to Rock The Plains, the decision to postpone was not made lightly.
“Before anything else, we want you to know that this wasn’t the fault of any artist or vendor. Every one of them has been a committed partner to us through this, and none of them are responsible for this decision,” Rock The Plains said in a statement. “It came down to circumstances on our end that we weren’t able to resolve in time for this year’s dates, and postponing was the option that let us protect this festival’s future rather than rush forward with something less than what you deserve.”
Rock The Plains is looking at rescheduling the festival in spring of 2027. For now, tickets purchased for Rock The Plains 2026 will carry forward to 2027 at full value. This includes VIP. Meet & Greet add-ons will be automatically refunded.
However, Rock The Plains admitted that the lineup for 2027 will be different from Rock The Plains 2026. The organizers understand that this may be upsetting to those who purchased tickets for this year’s festival.
Rock The Plains shared that a lot of their same vendor partners and key personnel have already committed to joining them in 2027 and they are working on a 2027 lineup that they are proud of.
