It will begin on Santa Fe with a parade and end at Salina Speedway with the Demolition Derby – the Tri-Rivers Fair is part of an All-American Summer in Salina with “Stars, Stripes, and Summer Nights.”
The Parade along Santa Fe Avenue, will feature red, white and blue floats, tractors, and community groups.
Thursday highlights include agriculture projects, with livestock shows and exhibits. Key events include the Pedal Tractor Pull for kids and the crowning of the Fair King & Queen.
The fair boasts a history spanning over 150 years, originating in 1871 as a simple agricultural showcase.
In 1959 the event was officially named the Tri-Rivers Fair and Rodeo.
