The Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson attracted close to 331,000 visitors this September. This turnout makes it one of the largest gatherings in Kansas for 2026.
Fair officials reported nearly 900 Grand Drive exhibitions, showing strong interest in livestock and agricultural events. Around 6,000 entries were submitted for various competitions, from baking and crafts to photography and gardening. These numbers highlight the fair’s broad appeal across different age groups and interests.
Country singer Trace Adkins performed the top Grandstand concert, drawing an audience of over 5,000 fans. His show brought extra attention to the fair’s entertainment schedule, which included a mix of music, comedy, and family-friendly acts.
Many families say they visit every September for the food, rides, and exhibits. Others enjoy the chance to see local talent and reconnect with their community.
