In an interview with Ad Astra News, Reinhold said they major issues she’s hearing about and focusing on include futures, economic security and safety.

Reinhold said she will push for a strong farm bill, and opening markets for farmers

She also called for additional staffing in USDA, which has seen its work force slashed in recent years.

Another major issue Reinhold wants to address is banning or restricting campaign contributions by corporations or persons of extreme wealth

She also talked about education issues which one person raised during her visit at a McPherson restaurant, and said the federal government needs to fund excess special education costs, which is has consistently failed to at the level promised. and not put the burden on states or local schools

She also said decisions on siting of data centers and related projects should be left at the local and state level though she would support setting on general guidelines for them at the federal level.

Reinhold will face Colin McRoberts, also of Lawrence in the August primary to face either incumbent Tracey Mann of Salina or Craig Musser of Ellinwood.
