It took about 5-miles of ‘runway’ for the 1950, single engine Piper aircraft to make a landing into Salina’s Garage Automotive Museum on Tuesday morning.

According to K-State Salina the bright red airplane will be on display inside the museum as part of the “Red Hot Rides” exhibit opening in early September.

The Piper was towed by pickup from K-State Salina’s aviation maintenance facility to the Garage and will have its wings reassembled before the show opens on September 3rd.
