WICHITA, Kan. – Melinda Cratty of Bethany College has earned the KCAC Softball Player of the Week honors the conference office announced Monday. Melinda was selected for her performances from March 13-19 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by Equity Bank.
Cratty had a very successful week, which was a driving force behind the Swedes going 4-0 on the week. She batted .700 over that stretch and picked up six RBIs, while being walked once and not striking out at all over that four-game span.
Head Softball Coach Apdiel Vazquez had this to say regarding Melinda’s award: “We’re really proud of Melinda and everything she has accomplished during her career. Her hard work and dedication to this team are unmatched. Excited for what the future holds for her!”
