The City of Lindsborg is updating its regulations for businesses seeking cereal malt beverage licenses.
The City Council approved an ordinance that removes Kansas and McPherson County residency requirements that previously could disqualify license applicants.
City Administrator Tanner Faust said the change brings local regulations into compliance with state law, which no longer requires applicants to live in Kansas or the county.
