The Humboldt Cubs made the trip to Caney for their second road game of the season, suffering their first loss of the year, 44-0, on Friday.
Despite putting together some solid drives on offense, the Cubs were unable to find the end zone.
Quarterback Ty Shaughnessy led the offense with nine carries for 21 yards while completing 7 of 16 passes for 109 yards. Kolton Hanson added three catches for 60 yards.
Sophomore Tucker Wrestler led the defense with multiple tackles, a sack and a forced fumble. Wrestler was named the Player of the Game.
Humboldt will travel to Fredonia on Friday, Sept. 25, to take on the Yellowjackets.
