Neosho capped off a demanding two-game trip to Illinois with a dramatic 2–2 draw against Lewis & Clark Community College, scoring with just 15 seconds remaining to preserve an unbeaten trip.
Lewis & Clark opened the scoring with an excellent strike from distance, giving the hosts an early advantage. Neosho responded well and found the equalizer through Villads Ottenheim, who powered home a header following a well-worked set piece to make it 1–1.
The hosts regained the lead after a momentary lapse in concentration from Neosho was punished, leaving the Panthers trailing 2–1.
With the heat making conditions difficult for both teams, Neosho continued to push the intensity and search for a way back into the game. That persistence was rewarded in dramatic fashion. With just 15 seconds left on the clock, Dylan Parry-Jones found the equalizer to make it 2–2 and ensure Neosho left Illinois unbeaten.
The result capped off an excellent couple of days for the Panthers, facing two Division I opponents on back-to-back days and coming away with one win and one draw. The ability to compete through difficult conditions, manage the demands of consecutive games and continue pushing until the final seconds provided another positive step forward early in the season.
