The Western Plains High School Bobcat volleyball team brought home the championship plaque from Saturday’s Pawnee Heights Invitational Tournament with a 4-1 record.
The tournament was played at Rozel and Burdett.
The Bobcats lost to Kinsley in the final match of pool play in three sets, battled their way back through bracket play and faced the Coyotes once again in the championship match.
This time, the Bobcats defeated the Kinsley Coyotes in two sets 25-15, 25-17.
Ashland defeated Stafford 25-21, 25-23 in the third-place match and Macksville defeated Natoma 25-16, 25-18
The Pawnee Heights Tigers defeated Chase 25-14, 25-20 to take seventh place.
