Anika Paulsrud, a 2028 Hutchinson Trinity High School junior competing for the Buhler High School girls golf team, enters the season as one of the top returning Class 4A golfers.
Sports in Kansas recognized Paulsrud as a Girls Golfer to Watch for the 2026 season.
Paulsrud earned First Team All-State and First Team All-League honors as both a freshman and sophomore.
Paulsrud finished 12th at the 2025 state tournament with a 170 score and placed third at regionals.
She also won the AVCTL Division III League championship as a freshman and owns a career-best 71 at Hesston Golf Course.
With only one senior graduating from last year’s group, Buhler returns a strong core alongside Paulsrud, including senior Macy Miller and junior Paityn Weber.
Paulsrud has spent the offseason focused on becoming a more consistent player and arrives with high expectations for what the team can accomplish.
“I have been looking forward to this season ever since last season came to an end,” Paulsrud told Sports in Kansas. “While I was grateful for the experience, I wasn’t satisfied with how last season ended both individually and as a team.
“This has motivated me to work even harder and become a stronger, more consistent player. I am very excited to see what this season has in store.”
