Season Ends for Buhler Softball Team with Sub-State Loss to Augusta

The season ended for Buhler High School softball team with a 5-1 loss to Augusta in the Kansas Class 4A West softball regional 3 tournament Tuesday at Chapman.

Augusta scored one run in the bottom of the second inning and four in the fourth. Buhler prevented a shutout with one run in the top of the seventh inning.

Augusta had 11 hits, including two each by Bracyn Landers, Hadley Wells, Chloe Wignall and Taylor Osborn.

Augusta pitcher Kyah Burns pitched seven innings, allowed two hits, walked four and struck out four.

Buhler, the No. 10 seed in the regional, finished the season with a 13-14 record.
