BUHLER — Playing its third game in four days, the Buhler boys soccer team fell 5-2 to Salina South on Thursday during Senior Night at Crusader Stadium.
Jaydon Adcock and Owen Kniesel scored for the Crusaders, whose three-game winning streak ended with the loss.
“We ended up going 2-1 this week. I was very proud of the boys,” head coach Josh Tafolla said. “We handled the adversity very well.”
Tafolla said the Crusaders are working to generate more offense as the postseason approaches.
“We’re looking to break through and have some big games,” Tafolla said. “Defensively, our back four have been phenomenal, along with our goalkeeper.”
Buhler (10-5) currently holds the No. 4 seed in the Class 4A West standings. The Crusaders conclude the regular season Tuesday at Berean Academy.
