McPHERSON, Kan. – The McPherson boys soccer team welcomed one of the top teams in the state to town on Tuesday night. In the end Rose Hill got the best of the Bullpups.
Rose Hill, the defending 4-1A state champions, entered the night at 9-0. They left 10-0 after a 7-0 shutout win over the Bullpups at McPherson High School Stadium.
McPherson struggled to get their offense going as they were held scoreless and had just three shots on goal throughout the night. Despite the Rockets scoring seven goals, Hunter Schroeder still made seven saves for the Bullpups on a busy night in front of the goal.
The Bullpups are now 5-4 overall and they will hit the road to face Mulvane on Thursday night.
In the JV game on Tuesday evening, McPherson and Rose Hill played to a 1-1 draw.
