Haven High School’s Cody Holzrichter enters his senior season as one of the top offensive linemen in Class 2A after a dominant junior campaign.
The 6-foot-4, 300-pound standout earned First Team All-State, First Team Small Class All-State, First Team Sports in Kansas Non-Senior All-State, First Team District 6 and First Team CKL honors on the offensive line while also collecting Second Team All-CKL recognition on the defensive line.
Holzrichter helped Haven to a 7-3 record in 2025, allowing zero sacks while recording 164 knockdown blocks.
During his career, he has yet to surrender a sack and has piled up 245 knockdown blocks.
His play has also attracted offers from Drake, Missouri Western, Dodge City Community College, Highland Community College, Missouri Baptist and McPherson.
He’ll anchor the line looking for a standout senior year alongside standout teammates Kolton Altvater, Brogan Wray, Cole Brawner and Zade Turner.
“I’m excited to get the season started and see what we can accomplish as a team,” Holzrichter told Sports in Kansas. “We’re focused on winning our district and making a strong run in the playoffs. I’m ready to lead, keep improving and do my part to help us reach those goals.”
Haven opens the season at home Sept. 4 against Nickerson. Other home games are Oct. 9 against Larned and Oct. 23 against Halstead.
Road games are Sept. 11 at Pratt, Sept. 18 at Hillsboro, Sept. 25 at Douglass and Oct. 16 at Garden Plain.
