The Great Bend Bat Cats rallied from a 15-9 deficit to defeat the Junction City Brigade 18-16 Wednesday night at Al Burns Memorial Field in Great Bend.
Great Bend improved to 10-2 and avenged an 8-6 loss at Junction City on Wednesday.
Drew Koch pitched four innings in relief for Great Bend. The righty allowed one hit and five runs (two earned). He struck out five and walked four.
Great Bend’s Andrugh Yee and Decarlo Delancy each collected two hits. George McCarroll led the Bat Cats with three RBI from the 9-hole. Abdrugh Yee, Jaxon Bunkers and Peanut Brazzle each stole multiple bases for the Bat Cats.
The Bat Cats welcome the Hutchinson Monarchs on Friday for their next game. Hutchinson hosts Great Bend on Saturday.
The Bat Cats and Monarchs are both holding Cancer Awareness Nights this weekend — Great Bend on Friday at Al Burns Memorial Field and Hutchinson on Saturday at Hobart-Detter Field.
The Bat Cats are supporting Camp Hope and the Monarchs are supporting the Cancer Council of Reno County.
