Buhler opened its league schedule by splitting a pair of matches against Augusta and McPherson.
In the first match, Buhler defeated Augusta in straight sets, 25-17 and 25-12. Rorey Waldren led the team with eight kills, while Addysyn Keller added three kills and four blocks.
Buhler won the opening set of its second match against McPherson, 25-19, but dropped the next two sets, 23-25 and 18-25. Waldren again led the offense with 12 kills. Peyton Deberry contributed three blocks, and Kaia Edmund recorded 60 assists.
