Andale sophomore Jayven Dansel ran for 210 yards and four touchdowns as the Indians defeated Wellington, 60-21, Friday at Sellers Park in Wellington.
Andale took a 16-0 lead in the first quarter on touchdown runs of 40 and 10 yards by Dansel. He added a 73-yard touchdown run with 7:13 left in the second quarter before Cruz Kaiser scored from 2 yards out to give Andale a 28-0 halftime lead.
Noah Stanley scored on a 21-yard touchdown run after Wellington avoided the shutout. The Crusaders scored again early in the fourth quarter; however, Andale responded with 24 consecutive points to trigger a running clock for the final six minutes.
Andale (3-0, 3-0 AVCTL-IV) opens district play Friday against Wichita Collegiate for Homecoming.
