ReUse It Center Donates $4,750 to Three Organizations in June

The ReUse it Center in McPherson donated $4,750 to three organizations during the month of June.

A $1.250 dollar donation was given to the McPherson Senior Center, which since 1979 has been a focal fount of information and resources for older citizens and their families, helping maintain and enhance the lives of McPherson’s elderly community.

The McPherson Housing Coalition received a donation of $1,750. MHC’s mission is to develop, promote and implement programs providing affordable, decent and quality housing to eligible families. The coalition is the entity behind the Oak Harbor Cottages, Sutherland Estates, and Brush Up Mac.

$1,750 was also donated to the Mennonite Central Committee, a global nonprofit organization that coordinates disaster relief and support for economic development in under-developed countries on behalf of the many Mennonite denominations.

The ReUse It Center, located at the corner of Kansas Avenue and the Old 81 Bypass, is open Tuesdy from 1-3 PM, Thursday from 4-6 PM and Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM.
