KANSAS — The 2026 Primary Election took place on Tuesday, asking Kansas voters who they would like to be on the ballot for November’s General Election.
In the Federal races, Roger Marshall was the clear leader for the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate with 80% of the vote, while Adam Hamilton took the Democratic nomination with 35%.
For the U.S. House of Representatives, the general election matchups are set as follows:
- District 1: Incumbent Tracy Mann vs. Lauren Reinhold
- District 2: Derek Schmit vs. Don Coover
- District 3: Sharice Davids vs. Eric Jenkins
- District 4: Katy Tyndell vs. Ron Estes
In the 2026 Kansas Governor’s race, Cindy Holsher and running mate KC Ohaebosim have secured the Democratic nomination. Ty Masterson and running mate Jeffrey Klemp have secured the GOP nomination.
Kansans also voted on a constitutional amendment. The ballot question asked voters if they would like to adopt an amendment allowing them the right to elect justices to the Kansas Supreme Court. The question was rejected, with 61% voting “No.”
