Hutchinson Fire Department Responds to Structure Fire on 35th Street

HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The Hutchinson Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire in the 1400 block of East 35th Street. Upon arrival, crews found a working fire on the rear of the residence. First-arriving crews quickly initiated an aggressive fire attack while interior crews checked for fire extension into the residence. The fire was contained to the exterior of the home, with only minor smoke damage reported inside.

The home was occupied at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported. Fire damage was limited to the exterior deck of the structure. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
