Greater Hutch Hosts Kiewit Supplier & Economic Development Breakfast

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Seats are still available for the Greater Hutch Economic Development Partnership’s Investor Event on Tuesday, October 6, at the 1861 Club.

The event will provide an opportunity for local businesses and service providers to connect with Kiewit and learn more about opportunities to bid on work related to the Evergy McNew Energy Center.

Presentations will include:

  • Chuck Caisley, Chief Customer Officer and Executive Vice President of Marketing and Public Affairs with Evergy, will provide an update on the Evergy McNew Energy Center.
  • Chantal Galbraith, Project Manager with Kiewit, contractor for the Evergy project, will discuss the project and opportunities for local businesses and service providers.
  • Debra Teufel, President and CEO of the Hutchinson/Reno County Chamber of Commerce and Greater Hutch Economic Development Partnership, will provide an overview of Reno County economic development activity.

Teufel will also highlight and recognize investors to date in the Elevate Reno County Capital Campaign and provide updates on initiatives shaping Reno County’s economic future.
