HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The closure of 30th Avenue in Hutchinson has expanded, with both eastbound and westbound lanes now closed to all through traffic as of Tuesday morning. This extended closure follows an initial partial shutdown caused by a storm pipe failure on August 20th and is necessary to allow crews to safely evaluate and repair critical underground infrastructure.

A signed detour is currently in effect, rerouting drivers south to 17th Avenue, as the city works to ensure the roadway is safely reopened before the start of the Kansas State Fair on September 11th.
