McPherson, Kansas – McPherson Women’s Soccer made their way back to Brubaker Family Stadium to face the Sterling College Warriors for a midweek KCAC Women’s Soccer matchup. Prior to this contest, the Bulldogs have been rolling through the early going of their campaign, carrying a 5-1-1 (1-0-1 KCAC) record.

How it Happened
The Bulldogs got things started early on Wednesday evening. Jordyn Smith struck first after driving into the box and blasting a shot off a Sterling defender in the 3rd minute, giving McPherson the early 1-0 advantage.
Shortly after, in the 7th minute, Smith found the back of the net once again following a great pass into the box by Ally Harrison for an extended 2-0 lead.
Ten minutes later, Harrison got on the board off the assist of Gracie Speltz’s cross into the box to grow the host’s lead to 3-0.
The first of two goals scored in the second half would come from Gracie Speltz in the 70th minute off the assist of Jordyn Smith, giving the Bulldogs a four-goal lead over Sterling.
McPherson scored their fifth and final goal in the last minute of the match on a penalty kick from Jessica Aldrich, giving the Bulldogs a 5-0 KCAC victory over Sterling College.
