Bomgaars in Iola is helping promote fire safety this fall by hosting a Smoke Detector Drive in recognition of Fire Prevention Week. The store is collecting new, unopened smoke detectors through Oct. 20 to support local fire prevention efforts.
All smoke detectors donated during the drive will be given to the local fire department to help protect families throughout the community. Organizers are encouraging shoppers to consider purchasing an extra detector during their next visit to Bomgaars and leaving it as a donation.
