HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The Kansas State Fair is packed with iconic traditions, exciting exhibits, and family-friendly events. With less than five days left to enjoy the fair this year, make sure to include these attractions in your visit!
Budweiser Clydesdales Return to the Fair
For the first time in over a decade, the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales have returned to the Kansas State Fair! Fairgoers can visit the Clydesdales daily in their stables near Gate 9 from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
- Full Hitch Parades: Catch the full hitch parade across the fairgrounds today at 4:00 PM and Saturday, Sept. 19, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM (sponsored by City Beverage – Hutchinson). Saturday’s parade will also feature a Budweiser Folds of Honor presentation.
- 1861 Club Appearance: A one-horse appearance will take place at the 1861 Club on Thursday from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
Celebrate America’s 250th Birthday at the Freedom Truck
Step inside the Freedom Truck, a traveling mobile museum showcasing the story of America’s founding as part of the nationwide America 250 celebration. Located north of the Midway near the Bison Arena, the Freedom Truck is open to visitors every day of the fair.
Progress at the Bison Arena Ag Innovation Center
Phase 2 of the Bison Arena Ag Innovation Center transformation was completed in late July with support from the State of Kansas and the Kansas State Fair Board of Directors. Once fully completed, the facility will serve as a year-round showcase celebrating Kansas agriculture through interactive exhibits, educational programs, and community events.
The Bison Arena is open throughout the fair, providing attendees a perfect spot to cool off, learn more about American history, and see the Sand Sculpture!
Live Sand Sculptures in Bison Arena
Inside the Bison Arena, award-winning sand sculptor Dan Belcher is crafting detailed sand sculptures throughout the fair. Stop by to watch ordinary sand transform into works of art. Make sure to walk around the sculpture to see both sides of this masterpiece.
Woodcarving Demonstrations & Auction
Daily woodcarving demonstrations are taking place across from Centennial Hall (northwest of Lake Talbott). All carved pieces will be auctioned off during the Woodcarving Auction, hosted by the Kansas Auctioneers Association:
