A Salina man was arrested after allegedly threatening a woman and her coworker at a downtown business.

Police Captain Jim Feldman tells Ad Astra News that 44-year-old Derrick Miles was taken into custody after a disturbing incident on Monday at a business in the 100 block of N. 7th Street.

Police say around 4pm, Miles followed a woman into the business and threatened to kill her and a coworker at the front desk. He then walked outside, banged on the businesses’ windows before sitting down on a bench.

Employees and customers evacuated out a back door as officers arrived and took Miles into custody. He’s now facing charges of aggravated criminal threat and two counts of assault.
