HUTCHINSON, Kan. – As the Kansas State Fair gets underway, there will be a few temporary road closures around the fairgrounds. Here’s what to know as you travel through the area:
PLUM STREET
• Sept. 11–13: Closed beginning Friday at 9 a.m. through Sunday night. Expected to reopen around 11 p.m. Sunday following the concert.
• Sept. 14–17: Closed daily from 9 a.m. to approximately 10:30 p.m.
• Sept. 18–20: Closed beginning Friday at 9 a.m. through Sunday evening. Expected to reopen around 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
STATE FAIR ROAD
Beginning Friday, Sept. 11 at 7 a.m., State Fair Road will be open for Fair parking access only — no regular through traffic.
Reopening times are approximate and may shift based on Fair activity.
