New location reflects continued growth and Heartland’s commitment to meeting members where they live, work, and grow
WICHITA, Kan. — Heartland Credit Union (HCU) today confirmed that its newest branch, located at 2191 N. Rock Rd. in Wichita, will officially open on September 14, 2026. Heartland first announced plans for expansion in fall 2025.
The new location expands Heartland’s presence in a market it has called home since 1987 and reflects the credit union’s continued growth across Wichita.
The branch will operate as a full-service location led by Branch Manager, Cameron Notestine, giving members and the community access to the full breadth of what Heartland offers: personal banking, commercial lending, treasury services, mortgage lending, and wealth planning via Heartland Wealth Strategies.
Heartland has seen strong membership growth across Wichita in recent years, with the area around 21st and Rock emerging as one of the fastest-growing pockets of that growth. The new branch is a direct response to that momentum, putting Heartland’s people and services closer to members.
Heartland also heard the conversations happening around this intersection. Chatter about another bank potentially moving in. That’s exactly why Heartland didn’t build a bank. It built
a credit union: member-owned, not-for-profit, and built to serve people instead of shareholders.
“This branch isn’t about entering a new market; it’s about showing up more fully in one we’ve been part of for almost 40 years,” said Dan Springer, President and CEO of Heartland Credit Union. “As Wichita continues to grow, we want to grow with it.”
“Wichita has become one of our fastest-growing markets, and this branch is about meeting members where they already are,” said Jeremy Stauffacher, Chief Consumer Officer of Heartland Credit Union. “We built this branch so members don’t have to choose between convenience and access to everything we offer. It’s all in one place.”
“This branch means we can bring our full commercial lending and treasury capabilities directly into one of Wichita’s most established corridors,” said Bambi Stewart, Chief Commercial Officer of Heartland Credit Union. “Local business owners deserve a lending and treasury partner who understands their goals and can move quickly.”
