Neriah Guerin has a few things to juggle these days.
Making sure he has enough water, sunscreen, updating his social media and keeping three balls in the air tops the list on his way to New York City. The former US Air Force Honor Guard member who has participated in funerals at Arlington National Cemetery and performed with precision rifle teams for crowds at Madison Square Garden – now finds his footsteps for company.
It’s a walk he began June 1st in Los Angeles with a focus on getting people off their screens. “I’d really like to encourage people to just go outside and play more,” he said. “As adults we kind of get this notion that play is something that we outgrow.”
Guerin says he got inspired by seeing other endurance challenges like skateboarding across the country and discovered no one had every juggled their way across America.
Now on his fourth pair of shoes and halfway across the country, Guerin stopped off in Lindsborg’s Dröm Sött, “Sweet Dreams” Inn on Thursday evening, with plans to head north to Salina, then Abilene, Junction City and Kansas City.
He’s very thankful for the friendly treatment he’s found in Kansas along the way and invites everyone to join him online on his Instagram, TikTok and YouTube pages or in Times Square in early December.
