The McPherson County Food Bank has had a busy summer, serving between 70 to 80 families a week.
Now donations are needed in almost every category. Staff reached out to Ad Astra Radio to ask the community to give canned goods, pasta, rice or beans.
The Food Bank does have a freezer and can accept meat as well. They are still looking for empty egg cartons as well as snack crackers, pancake mix and syrup.
Reach out to the Food Bank by telephone at (620) 241-8050 or by visiting the facility located at 707 S Main in McPherson. The Food Bank is open Tuesdays from 10am to 12:45pm and Fridays from 2pm to 4:45pm.
The McPherson Food Bank – will be open extra hours on the First Friday of each month – they will be open until 6:45pm.
