State Rep. Clarke Sanders Withdrawing from 2026 Election

State Representative Clarke Sanders is withdrawing from the 2026 general election.

The Republican who has served the 69th District of the Kansas House since winning the seat back in 2020 and again in 2022 and 2024, is citing health issues behind the decision.

The Saline County Republican Central Committee will now hold a convention on September 10th to select a replacement Republican nominee for the November ballot.

Sanders has vowed to complete his current term which ends in January. The convention will determine the Republican nominee for the upcoming November election.
