Neosho continued its unbeaten start to the season with a 2–2 draw against Western Iowa Tech in a fast-paced contest that saw the Panthers create plenty of opportunities to take all three points.
Neosho started brightly and immediately put the hosts under pressure, with Villads Ottenheim finding the net early to give the Panthers a deserved 1–0 lead. The early goal set the tone as Neosho continued to apply pressure and create chances, but Western Iowa Tech gradually worked its way back into the game and found an equalizer against the run of play.
The Panthers responded strongly after the break and regained the lead following a well-worked attacking move. Ivan Rocha was brought down inside the penalty area, giving Neosho the opportunity to go back in front. Keane Hazeldine stepped up and confidently converted from the spot to make it 2–1.
Neosho continued to play with intensity and created opportunities to extend the advantage, but a lapse in concentration allowed Western Iowa Tech to equalize and bring the game level at 2–2.
The closing stages remained fast-paced, with Neosho pushing for the winner and creating several key chances that could have decided the contest. Ultimately, the Panthers were unable to find the finishing touch and were forced to settle for the tie on the road.
Another positive performance and result for Neosho, while leaving the feeling that there was an opportunity to take more from the game.
