The Great Bend Chamber of Commerce, through its Ag-Business Committee, is proud to present the 32nd Annual Kid’s Ag Day, happening on Wednesday, September 9, 2025.

Each year, this signature event welcomes nearly 400 fourth-grade students from public and private schools across Claflin, Hoisington, Ellinwood, Otis-Bison, Pawnee Rock, and Great Bend. For more than three decades, Kid’s Ag Day has provided young learners with an immersive look into the world of agriculture—an industry essential to our region’s identity and economy.

This event directly supports the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce’s Elevate GBK strategic vision by:
Developing the Workforce of Tomorrow: Introducing students to agriculture careers and the innovation driving modern farming.
Investing in Youth & Families: Sparking curiosity and pride in our community’s agricultural heritage.
Strengthening Business & Community Connections: Showcasing local producers, agribusinesses, and volunteers who make this event possible.

Highlights of the Day:

  • Interactive Presentations: Discover crops, livestock, machinery, and conservation as students travel by tractor-drawn hayrack ride from station to station across the farm.

  • Hands-On Experiences: Get up close with farm animals and explore modern technology—including drones—that connect young minds to exciting STEM opportunities in agriculture.

Kid’s Ag Day consistently receives enthusiastic feedback from teachers and students alike, creating memories that build a lifelong appreciation for agriculture’s impact. Over the years, the program has been recognized nationally for excellence in agricultural education and outreach.
