Apt. 6 Raises $76,433 for McPherson Opera House

McPHERSON, Kan. — Representatives of Apt. 6 Resale and Consignment Shop, located at 217 S. Main, presented a $76,433 donation to the McPherson Opera House, reflecting the funds raised through the shop’s operations during the past fiscal year. This year’s contribution was approximately $11,800 more than the amount donated during the previous fiscal year.

Apt. 6 is a nonprofit thrift and consignment store that supports the McPherson Opera House. Managed by Jan Cornett and staffed by dedicated volunteers, Apt. 6 relies on generous donations from the community to help fund the Opera House’s mission.

Shoppers will find a wide variety of treasures, including furniture, clothing and accessories, jewelry, home décor, artwork, seasonal items, and more.

Donations are always appreciated and may be dropped off at the back (east) door of Apt. 6 during regular business hours or on Mondays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Current store hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Beginning this season, Apt. 6 will also participate in McPherson Main Street’s Third Thursdays, with extended hours from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The McPherson Opera House extends its sincere appreciation to the dedicated volunteers and staff whose generosity, expertise, and countless hours of service make the success of Apt. 6 possible. Their ongoing commitment not only supports the Opera House’s mission but also helps preserve this historic community landmark as a vibrant center for arts, culture, and community engagement.
